Kena’s Games and Recreation Oasis of Khonsu (GROK) takes its name from the Ancient Egyptian deity of gaming and acclaimed science fiction author Robert Heinlein’s coined term meaning “to know or understand deeply”.

For us this means we understand deeply the Masonic principles of relief and charity, and

we know and support the Shriner mission of gathering in fun and fellowship to benefit our philanthropic work benefiting our Hospitals, Shrine, and community.

Since our inception in 2024, we have set out to gather current members, new prospects, and our families to do good work while enjoying all types of games, from classic pastimes like chess, checkers, and board games, to more modern favorites such as Dungeons and Dragons and videogames.

We host some of the best parties, with games, prizes, delicious food, and fun for the whole family.  We also love going to conventions, local markets, and other great community events to engage with the public and bring awareness and funding to our fraternal and philanthropic goals.

GROK meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm, and are usually dark in July and August.
