About the Event

A Brother of ours, Brother John Gonge, will be celebrating his 80 years in Freemasonry. Brother John joined our fraternity in the middle of World War II. He enlisted in the US Army Air Corps and flew many sorties in the Pacific theater. Brother John stayed in the service for 35 years and retired as a Three-Star General in our United States Air Force. Our Brother John is a Custer Lodge No. 148 member in Broken Bow, Nebraska. And he will be the main attraction for the evening. The evening will start with a meal prepared by the Nobles of the Kena Shriners, Legion of Honor and will consist of Smoked Brisket, BBQ Chicken, Mac and cheese, Peas and Mushrooms, potato salad, Baked Beans, Dinner Rolls, Pies, and Cookies.  ($20)

After dinner, we will play a congratulatory video from the Brothers of Custer Lodge. When we have finished dinner, Brother John has the floor. He will talk about his life experiences in the military, as a Shriner, Freemason, and life in general. If you would like to ask our Brother a question, please feel free to do so.
