"What is Meatball Mania?"
This is a new event that we have put together to have some Kena family fun and also raise funds for the temple operating fund.
So how does it work?
Simply come to the Kena Bistro (at the temple) hungry. We'll have an all you can eat spaghetti dinner, complete with garlic bread, a delicious Caesar salad and dessert. (Gluten free pasta will be available.) The meal also includes coffee, tea, lemonade and water. BYOB for adult beverages.
How will we raise money?
Now the fun part, if you want meatballs, they are $1 each. Each meatball comes with the chance to win a nice prize. There will be 3 drawings. If you don't like meatballs, you can still buy chances for $1. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.
What makes this family-friendly?
During dinner we'll enjoy the movie, "Lady and the Tramp." The kids will love it!
How to do I get in on the fun?
Please RSVP by February 8 to RSVP@kena.org if you will attend.
I can't come, but would still like to help!
If you can't attend, but would still like to support the Kena Operating Fund, feel free to send a donation to the Temple Office with "Meatball Donation" in the subject line. The address is Kena Shriners, 9500 Technology Drive, Manassas, VA 20110.
Would you like to help out?
We're also looking for volunteers for the event. Please reach out to Lady Cheryl Hall if you can help at firstname.lastname@example.org. We need help decorating, cooking, serving, selling chances and of course tidying up.
Our potentate and all of the members of the divan thank you for supporting this important fundraiser for our temple.
