The  crime rate was high, Shriners were vandalized, cars broken into, mini choppers stolen, several parking lots got hit throughout the city. Fez's and other items got stolen. panhandlers hanging-out in front of hotels, a lack of police presence.  

Loaded with William Baumbach and Jim Kincheloe motorcycles, headed to St Louis Mo.  round trip 1,700 miles, 10.25 MPG, cost of gas $700. drove back non-stop, took 15 hours and 15 minutes.
